- A distinct repeating pattern usually points to a battery that needs replacing. UPS batteries have a lifespan of roughly three to five years, and a unit with a degraded battery may offer little to no protection when it’s needed.
A UPS that’s beeping is asking for attention. Ignoring it means the protection you think you have may not be there when it matters.
